Packing for Fashion Week

Guess who is packing for New York Fashion Week in the other room? I snuck in these photos and announced that I'm posting them. Partly because I wanted to put something in the new Fashion Week forum category, but also because the colours are cool and I think Angie's super organized packing process is something to behold.

When I took these photos the outfits were being assembled. It won't be very long before the entire 10 day trip is mapped out in ensembles (contingencies too). It is all informed by AccuWeather.com and there is nothing written down, anywhere.

BTW, these photos (and others that I take when in NYC) should also appear in the NYFW page:

SO FAB!!! Can't wait to see these outfits in action!

  • Mochi replied 12 years ago

Squee! The jodhpurs! The double-cloth metro coat! :-) (we are getting somewhat oddly and endearingly familiar with Angie's wardrobe, eh) But of course, the element of magic--lovely, fab Angie herself actually inhabiting them--will be added later.

Any scoops on the weather down in NY? So far I just hear that it'll be in the 30's, so am keeping fingers and toes crossed for nothing unusual.

Bon Voyage, Greg and Angie, and I have to tell you the yellow plaid drew me right in to this post!! I love Angie's organized packing and the AccuWeather.com-planned ensembles. My brother is a lot like Angie and is very organized with his packing. He even has his domestic and international travel lists typed up, complete with his relaxed airline sleepwear. Looking forward to seeing your photos and Angie's posts. Have fun.

I had to log in on my phone to say this is so cool. Hope you have a great time.

I will be looking forward to seeing pictures of what Angie wears. It's always better than looking at the actual fashion shows! Safe trip!

This is great! Have a wonderful trip!

Michelle, I see a lot of happy orange color (orange argyle sweater, orang-ish coat etc.), also some yellow, a grey blazer (I think?).

The weather in NY is crazy warm this winter - I am in upstate NY and we are going to be in the 30F-40F next week, I believe NYC is going to be warmer. We have sap running in maple trees already from what I hear.

Michelle, we can see yellow plaid pants with what looks like a metallic black jacket, the famous jodhpur jeans paired with a tan-and-white wide-striped sweater and , the fab orange-and-camel argyle sweater paired with a dark gray riding jacket, and what might be an orange topcoat with the tag still on, with an AMAZING sweater or tunic colorblocked in orange, black, and yellow stripes.

    I die.

  • Ornella replied 12 years ago

    Ah, *THOSE* jeans! YAY.

Btw, this glimpse of Angie's thought process and packing strategy is super-informative. It'll be great to see the final outcomes. Thank you, Secret Agent Greg. You know, of course, these reports are now expected to become regular features?

Michelle, here is what's on the menu:
Photo 1: yellow checkered trousers (such vibrant color!) and what looks like ultra fun jacket. I don't remember it from any of Angie Outfit posts (AO), but I might be wrong.
Photo 2: Famous jodphur jeans and cream turtleneck.
Photo 3: That spectacular Smythe equestrian jacket featured on the blog recently and the orange argyle jumper that was January's backdrop image.
Photo 4: red coat (?) and a super fun top/dress in bold red (or orange)/yellow/black color.

ETA: I see many of us have replied at the same time, I hope you get a good idea. It really promises another bouquet of original and distinctive outfits.

Nice peek behind the curtain. I have several outfits hanging up, but am also awaiting better weather information. I'm only going for the day and have to be able to hoof it for many hours so it's going to be interesting. I'm happy to see orange.
